Anthony Joshua is set to fight the American YouTuber in an eight-bout fight which will be shown in real-time on the streaming platform.
British boxer Anthony Joshua declared he will "stamp all over" Jake Paul and "defeat" the American as the two fighters confronted each other to promote next month's boxing match.
Former two-time unified title holder Anthony Joshua battles YouTuber-turned-boxer Jake Paul - in what is, on paper, a huge mismatch - at Miami's Kaseya Center on December 19th.
Boxer's Mentality
"I'm going to injure his face and break his body up. I aim to demonstrate my superiority," the British boxer, 35 years old, said.
"I will dominate him completely. That's how fighters think.
"I will really want to hurt him. That's my intention."
Civil Exchange
In spite of such comments, a relaxed Joshua and internet personality Jake Paul - usually known for his showmanship - were respectful and kept it respectful with each other.
Paul rather attacked former Joshua's rival Francis Ngannou and called him "not serious" after the Cameroonian declined a bout proposal.
Targeting Tyson Fury
Joshua, at the same time, criticized UK opponent Tyson Fury - and refused a large bet 'Tyson Fury' states he will put on a victory for Paul.
"[Paul] outshines Tyson Fury - he's present here," Joshua said.
"I acknowledge that."
Serious Fighter
Despite stating he plans to punish Paul, Anthony Joshua refused to talk badly about his opponent's boxing ability.
"Jake Paul is a legitimate boxer," he remarked.
Jake Paul's History
Jake Paul - who originally gained popularity on the television network - has mainly boxed MMA fighters or faded names since entering professional boxing.
He was defeated by British fighter Tommy Fury in 2023.
Financial Success
However, the inexperienced fighter is still one of the sport's greatest commercial attractions, regularly earning massive paydays.
Prediction and Belief
The 28-year-old predicted a stoppage in rounds four or five and claimed he would stop the long-awaited Joshua–Fury fight, which is reportedly in the works for two years from now.
"The next fight will be my match with Fury in the coming year," Paul said.
Size Disparity
As both boxers participated in the customary stare-down, with their size difference clearly visible, it drove home just how unlikely this entire matchup is - and how astonishing it is that the bout is really happening.
